2016 Trident Open – October 22-23

Trident Athletics is excited to host the fourth annual Trident Open Olympic Weightlifting Competition!

This will be a last chance qualifier for the 2016 American Open as the qualifying period ends Oct. 23!

We especially encourage new lifters and first time competitors to come out for our Novice sessions. We always get an enthusiastic, encouraging crowd, and it’s a great opportunity to get some experience on the platform. Singlets and USAW Membership are not required for novice lifters – but clothing must be semi-fitted and knees and elbows MUST be visible to allow the judges to confirm proper lockout has occurred. Coaches, please encourage your new lifters to join us!

Singlets and USAW Membership are REQUIRED for Open session competitors.

*An entry total is required to compete in the Open sessions!!! Sessions will be organized based on entry total, not weight class.

Lastly, we can definitely use any available help on the day of the competition for loading, etc. If you plan on sticking around after your session and would be willing to help out in any way, we’d really appreciate it! Please email zach@trident-athletics.com if you’re willing. Thanks so much in advance!
